Privacy Policy
This policy explains what data Tripping Billies collects, why, and the choices you have.
Data we collect
- Email address - used to create and secure your account, verify your email, deliver password resets, and send account or moderation notices.
- Date of birth - used only to verify that you are at least 18 years old. Your date of birth is never displayed to other users; at most an age range you choose to share appears on your profile.
- Location - used to power the nearby event feed and map features, such as showing broadcasts near you. You can provide a city manually instead of granting GPS access, and you control location visibility in privacy settings.
- Profile photos - the photos you upload to your profile, shown to other users according to your visibility settings.
- Messages - direct messages and event chat messages you send are stored so they can be delivered and displayed to their recipients.
Service providers
- Resend - delivers transactional email (verification codes, password resets, account and moderation notices) to your email address on our behalf.
How we use data
We use the data above to run the service: age verification, showing relevant events near you, matching and messaging, safety and moderation, and required communications. We do not sell your personal data.
Data deletion
You can delete your account at any time in the app: Settings → Account → Delete Account. Deletion removes your profile, photos, broadcasts, messages, connections, and device tokens, and it is irreversible. See account deletion details.
Data retention
Active account data is retained while your account exists. When you delete your account, personal data is removed immediately as described above; limited moderation and audit records may be retained where required for safety or legal compliance.
Security
Passwords are stored only as cryptographic hashes, reset and verification tokens are stored hashed and expire, and data is transmitted over encrypted connections.
